This is a story of a group of disabled veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan (amputee, traumatic brain injury, burns) that have come to California from Brooke Army medical center rehab to learn how to surf, most for the first time and for one who doesnt even know how to swim.

  • *UPDATE* I am working on getting the final edit done with some original music by "The Mermen" I am hoping to catch the late submission date to the 4th annual GI Film Festival!!!

  • i came across this by chance, but i was quite a competent surfer untill i lost the lower part of my leg 8 months ago and i had not even thought it would be possible for me to get back doing it. this vid has given me so so much hope and drive! thanks!

    It was nice meeting you on set at WB.

    I think this Doc is great, The treatment method is awesome too. Physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Inspiring. I look forward to seeing the polished version you spoke of.

  • Thanks for coming to the Jesse's Story the film myspace site. I would have never seen this awesome short. Keep going strong! I spent 7 years of my life telling Jesse's Story and am finally finishing this week ironically! Take care, stay in touch and keep going strong.
