I thought I would take advantage of a local town function to make a time lapse video of it from a distance. Afterwards, I used Gimp's Focus Blur plug-in to give it a faux tilt-shift lens appearance. I don't think it turned out bad, but I would like to learn more about creating that look using the Gimp plug-in. Probably best viewed in 720p HD mode.

  • I really like that effect. Makes people look like a little toys, sort of stop-motion animation.

  • @tsjoencinema thank you. That is exactly what I had in mind when making this. There is a type of lens called tilt-shift lens to make these images or stop-motion videos, but I don't have one so I used a Gimp plug-in to attempt to simulate that effect. Thanks for commenting.

  • I like this. It's exactly something I'm interested in.

  • hm... a "gimp plug-in"? That doesn't sound too good! haha.

But yeah, I know what you mean. It does do the job.
