Jay, thank you so much for sharing your expertise! My father used to order this as a takeout treat. I didn't know about washing the beef--I know about chicken, but not beef. Brilliant tip about snipping the beef after skewering them. I want to follow your recipe exactly, cu I'm not an intuitive cook--how un-Filipino, huh? Is it possible to have the measurements for the marinade? How much vinegar, how much soy sauce (looked like a lot), etc. Thanks again. Peace to you and your family. Rebecca

Looks like a great recipie! I can't wait to try it. I'll also look into getting one of those indoor grils. Thank you!

@ballardgw ..Your country is barely two hundred years old but yet you think you are the authority in BBQ when my people have doing it for a much longer time. You tickle me...
Man I thought you were gonna use a real grill. Its not filipino BBQ it it's not cook on the fire. But it's a damn good marinade, nice job. I like to use Toyumanci.

@barbdejun This was Manila style brotha.. where they serve you the raw kabobs and use and indoor grill like mine at restaurants where you cook it yourself for freshness while you socialize and drink.

@saviorJay51 With all due respect what you are doing is NOT BBQ. What you are doing is called GRILLING over high heat. BBQ is cooked low and slow over charcoal or wood. (indirect heat)

@ballardgw ??..my people have been doing "BBQ" over indirect heat over stones and heated material for over years. Mr. Westerner..I think you need to reevaluate who you are speaking to and consider what kind of culture you are dealing with. I do not go on other peoples pages and tell them that sourly-pickled sauce will make your meat taste better.
