Prime Factorization

Prime factorization is the process of decomposing a number to only its prime factors. The method that we use in the United States is straightforward, but the method that is used in India has greater efficiency and general applicability to various other mathematics concepts--such as GCF, LCM and factoring numerical and algebraic expressions. It even explains why we simplify fractions by putting them in lowest terms.
