SKEMA Business School through its Centre for Tourism Management and the European Tourism Futures Institute (ETFI) signed in November a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and agreed to collaborate on projects related to tourism research within a European network.

SKEMA is the only French representative in this network and will also serve as a link between the European network and other research institutes in France.

SKEMA professor (marketing, Sophia Antipolis) Girish Prayag attended the first meeting of the International Network for Tourism Futures Studies which took place in Stenden at the European Tourism Futures Institute on November 2-5 together with a conference on tourism futures: http://www.etfi.eu/conference .

SKEMA was selected by the ETFI as their French partner because of the excellent and prolific research our Centre for Tourism Management has produced in the past few years.

The ETFI is part-financed by the EU, the European Regional Development Fund, as well as Dutch provinces and municipalities. As a reminder, the Centre for Tourism Management is also involved in an EU-funded research consortium that develops and tests an innovative research methodology that uses mobile devices to improve the service design process in tourism.
