Bob Stinson and Johnny Thunders were the Jack Dempseys of guitatists - brutal, toe-to-toe frontal assault. Bob Mould and Ira Kaplan are the Mohammed Alis - surgically dismantling their audience with aural rope-a-dope. How on God's Green Earth did this album only get 3 stars on AllMusic (normally, I think, I solid review site)?
