On the way from Dalyan to İztuzu beach is a restaurant called Gölbaşı, which has a creek ending up at Sülüngür lake. Both at the restaurant itself and at the opposite side of the road you can enjoy nature at its best. Amongst others, this video shows the European goldfinch in the reeds at Gölbaşı, nesting falcons, tree frogs, storks, dragonflies and a mantis.

  • Dear Maria, Yes I like all your contributions,at times I feel as if I'm the one who's doing all these wonderful walkabouts. I'm Turkish,70, based in Sydney/Aust,Indonesia became the magnet for us. Haven't been in Dalyan area. When variety is the criteria, Turkey is an impossible to beat destination. After many years of travelling this opinion soundly, objectively estblished in my mind. • Merhaba Ihsan bey,

TEBDIL-I MEKANDA FERAHLIK VARDIR nedir?

    Saygılarımla,

    Maria / Meryem

  • Dear Ihsan,

Glad you enjoy my Dalyan contributions. Have you ever been in those surroundings? Ihsan sounds Turkish to me.

    Yours sincerely,

    Maria Jonker

And promptly yell that old Turkish saying adding "cok guzel, cok guzel" to the beginning

    or to the end.Translation:

"THERE IS JOY WHEN CHANGING PLACES"

I'm sure every language has some equevelant of

this. Remembering him I just copied his phrase

    at that very moment.

    Selamlar, guzel gunler.

  • Merhaba Maria,

Your level of Turkish is already at a powerful

tool level for the future, how about Mr Jonker. My Bahasa Indonesia is not as good as

your Turkish but still adds delightful pleasure to my days in Indonesia/Malaysia.

I'm sure that you're aware of that language

    induced extra pleasure

Responding you I remembered my grand father who

  • As usual, another delightful entry by you.
