Another video of Revy, from our lesson yesterday.

You're probably wondering why I'm leaning forward in all the clips. xD No, it's not because I'm THAT bad of a rider, haha. Revy hasn't been ridden as often as he should be recently, and he's starting to lose muscle. D: That, and he had a chiropractor appointment the day before my lesson, so his back was a little sore because of it.

He made it very clear a couple of times that he wasn't too fond of me sitting on his back, especially in the canter, so my instructor told me to stay in half seat or two point the whole lesson to help him out a bit. It was pretty hard! We also didn't try to get him in frame, instead I tried to encourage him to stretch his neck, to loosen up the muscles in his back as well. Staying off his back and encouraging him to stretch his neck as long as possible really seemed to help, he was much happier and more relaxed. :)

And good news is that I get to start riding him an extra day during the week, because we don't want him losing any more muscle, because then I wont be able to jump him during my lessons on Saturdays. His owner said I can ride him whenever I'm free, so I'll most likely go out on Thursdays and trot and canter him around a bit. :)
