"Nasty" was the ninth episode of British sitcom The Young Ones. It was written by Ben Elton, Rik Mayall and Lise Mayer, and directed by Geoff Posner. It was first aired on BBC2 on May 29, 1984.
The Damned are an English rock band formed in London in 1976. They are notable for being the first punk rock band from England to release a single ("New Rose"), an album (Damned Damned Damned), and to tour the United States. The Damned later evolved into one of the forerunners of the gothic rock genre.

The Damned and Motorhead playing Ace Of Spades were the best Young ones guest bands... watching this back in the 80's as a little kid is what got me into the Damned.

I rushed out as a kid to find this track with no luck, it wasn't a single or on any album at the time. Genius. I bought the Black Album anyway. And then all the others.

I saw this on the Young Ones when it first came out. A good Damned track slightly interupted by the comedy show on which it appeared but worth seeing in this form.
