@Shamaninja14 Agreed...the anime purposefully makes her look bad and adds in scenes or words to make her seem worse.

In Japan, the term anime does not specify an animation's nation of origin or style; instead, it serves as a blanket term to refer to all forms of animation from around the world. English-language dictionaries define anime as "a Japanese style of motion-picture animation" or as "a style of animation developed in Japan"

@Chan3lprincess16 You've failed to give me proof otherwise.

@puchunful anime doesnt just stand for animation

I still prefer manga Kikyou if there has to be a Kikyou. She's more tolerable in the manga, I believe.

@SimpsonLover12 Sympathetic, not empathetic. Lol.

screw all the haters out there(both Kikyou's and Kagome's)
*Spoiler alert*
When Kikyou dies in the final act it's actually kinda beautifully sad ,Inuyasha cries, and EVERYBODY gets upset; even Kagome.
The difference between "Cartoon" and "Anime" it's... huge, even in the animation, it's like you were saying that Bugs Bunny is the same thing that Mazinger Z or Saint Seiya, so... I think you get my point.
Anyway, this is anime is not real, Kikyou is one person and Kagome is another with the same soul, stop complaining.

@CarlitaWtfxD You mean aside from the fact that one comes from Japan and the other from the US, there's actually a difference in the way animation is produced in either country? I think you'll have better luck making a concrete argument over the differences between the Japanese Spiderman series and it's American counterpart than this, mate. Cause even Japan refers to Family Guy as "anime." Just saying!

SinisterKikyou and ya Baka I say again rearencarnation means for a soul that was dead to be reborn in a newborn body and soooo meaning that also I am correct because Kikyou's soul left Kagome's body Kikyou's soul was a peice of Kagome's so but now is no longer apart of her KIKYOU IS NOT KAGOME((ANYMORE))
ShanyShannon 1 year ago
@ShanyShannon and the point remains "same soul, different body." The rest is just hair-splitting opinions that people have regarding either character and plotholes from Takahashi's actual writing, neither of which reflect real life Buddhist belief on reincarnation.
