Quick video to showcase a hidden feature of the Beat Kangs "Beat Thang"
I bang out a quick beat and show you the fastest way to edit your sample.
All done while the pattern is playing..
This is done by holding down EDIT and KIT while the pattern is playing.
Once in kit mode you can easily pitch, shop, trim, and tweak your sample while your pattern is playing

@RatedFlyBizzy Depends how you use it. There are good things about it and there are weaknesses. Can't load samples in the middle of making a beat without having to create/edit and save a kit, can't get dry signal from a track while FX is on, so if you want FX on one track, you have to resample. But it's excellent for chopping samples and throwing ideas together. I wouldn't make an album on just the Beat Thang though. But as a (portable) beat scribbler and live instrument, it's sweet.

@Born2WinBIg77 The workflow is pretty great, except the main slow-down is you can't just load a sample straight onto a pad in pattern mode and have the kit only exist inside the pattern; you have to create a kit in kit mode and save it as its own file, even if you only intend to use it once.

Hows the workflow on the Beat Thang? Why am I asking?: BEcause I have a Tuff time dealing with tons of menus and lose my creativity. From Idea to Laying down Track is it a Fuss or a hassle to get your beat down--> record + chop a sample and lay down patterns?? Please help

what beat is that at the beginning?

@GraveBoardclan It's pretty high. I don't remember the exact number, but it's not a wall you're likely to hit unless you go completely nuts on a single track. I've yet to experience the limit.
