@HitaroX it takes a lot more creativity and by that, intellect, to come up with TOOL's brand of music (e.g. Lateralus) than any Metallica song/record. Yes, they are superior musicians. No matter how hard you try to rationalize it. They are. Don't get me wrong, I love me some pre-Black Album Metallica. I'm simply stating a fact.

@tothevultures So all we're talking about is drummers here? I could just go ahead and say that tool barely has solos, but I know that would be a null argument, because they have riffs that are clearly well though out. I didn't say Metallica were better musicians though. They are COMPLETLY different styles, in Metallica polyrhythm wouldn't sound right. Imagine if Jones starts shredding the pentatonic scales with wah in the middle of vicarious.Nuff said
