i have a fairy helicopter that doesnt work right it seems it doesnt have enough force to fly do you know what to do?

slowly spin the rotor in your hand and see if the main gear and the motor ger are meshing properly, sometimes they will be to far apart, and the teeth will slightly grind once each rotation.
the added resistance means the helicopter can't generate the required lift to get into the air. if it is your problem exchange the helicopter, thir is no easy fix.

@taoistflyer can you tell me how the RC controls work in relation to the motors?...I just found one at a thrift store for a dollar...it was in bad shape but have it all soldier back together...It seems like when I give it thrust both rotor and the main blade spin together...Is that normal? The right control doesn't appear to do anything that I can tell...Is it suppose to control the rotor in the back only?

@my1story on 2 channel helis the right stick only controls the tail motor speed for turns, the left stick controls the up down movement, it is waited so that it should constantly fly forwards.
with 3 channel helis the right stick controls forward reverse motion as well as spin
on 4 channel helis the left stick controls up down and spin and the right stick controls forward reverse and roll

@taoistflyer: so on this 2 channel heli I have...would you think that the fact that the left stick makes both motors spin means that there's probably a short either on the circuit board or wires?

@my1story probably on a single rotor helicopter moving the left stick up should make the main motor spin and the tail motor spin as well to cancel out torque. the right stick should speed up and slow down the tail motor.
