Request from Sweden. This supplements the SLOW tutorials. Level 7.

The Arabesques are two of Debussy's earliest works written in his characteristic "impressionistic" style. I once sat in on a master class where the student played a work by Debussy. The teacher explained that to bring out the impressionistic sound of Debussy, one's hands should be held low over the keyboard, almost flat. The fingers should be straight and glide laterally over the black keys. This hand position is very different from the usual ping-pong-ball-style holding position that we use most of the time.
