Tears Ch. 32

Joe's P.O.V.
It's been a few weeks, but the pain is really getting to me today. I've thrown up three times and my back is burning.
"Can i have some pain medication, please....?" I begged my mom.
She was sitting in my room, eating a salad and reading a magazine.
"No, Joseph. You cant keep anything down, we dont have any meds that you could take on an empty stomach."
"Mom....please...."
"Hey."
I looked up to see Alex walk into the room. She looked guilty.
"Why'd you do?" I asked glaring at her.
"Nothing Joe. Its none of your business anyway."
"Let her be, Joseph." Dad handed Alex a bag.
"Whats this for?"
"I was hoping you could bring him some clean clothes when you go home."
"Oh, yes, sure, of course. I was just going to go."
"Dont drive." I mumbled.
"Why not?" She retorted.
"You've been up all night. I dont want you driving when you're so tired."
"I'll be fine, dont worry about me." She walked to the door and turned slowly. "I have a friend thats coming here to see me later. Is that ok?"
"Of course Alex dear. Bring anyone you like." Mom smiled.
"Thanks, see you soon."

She was having someone come here? Who? Was it a guy? Please let it be one of her girlfriends....please.....
I cant take seeing her with another guy and not me.....

Alex's P.O.V.
I went home and came back all in one piece. Jessi was there in Joe's room when i got back. He looked so cute, but Joe looked so angry.
"Alex." Jessi's face lite up when i walked into the room.
"Hi." I blushed.
"Who is he!?" Joe yelled.
"Joseph, stop it."
"Alex, who is he?" He clenched his teeth.
"Guys, this is Jessi. Jessi, this is everyone."
"Hi." Jessi blushed.
"Alex, is this your new boyfriend?" Emily laughed.
"Hopefully..." I whispered, looking away from Joe.
"Uhhh, i cant take it anymore!" I saw a small tear escape Joe's eye.
My heart tore in half. I couldnt do this to him. I loved him too much, but its time to move on. I guess we didnt work out like we hoped.
"Im sorry Joe." I whispered.
Jessi gave me a hug and kissed my hair.
"Why?" Joe sighed, obviously in pain.
"You and i didnt work, we're over Joe...over...." I watched the floor, avoiding his eyes.
I heard Jessi smirk. He defeated Joe, my one love. How did he do that?
