Shut the fuck up comic book uber geeks. I read the book many years ago and watched the movie and the movie was pretty damn slavish to the source. Consider all other movie adaptations and the amount of changes in those. Now take your bullshit " I'm the best geek" comments and shove em cause this movie was good and the changes that were made worked for the story...giant squids are vastly overrated anyway.
