This landmark needs a replacement to fill the cultural void now being suffered by Sheffielders. I propose we take a leaf from Tyneside and erect a large useless statue - keeping it topical, a large human figure in strange clothes (or second - hand Umbro tracksuit), sporting a big grin, with one grasping hand outstretched, the other clutching a sign that says "This Way To The City of Handouts". We'll call it, "The Assylum Seeker of the North".
