coming from someone who played the game for more than 49 days and had more than 1500 kills (not counting the 12k downs with it) i can tell you it didnt. it didnt at all, in fact, if used precisely, it was the most powerful weapon in the game.

no repawns too hardcore? try guardian.

@eldestsucubus basically what im trying to say is gears 3 is much more balanced. on gears 1 and 2 you had to use shotguns to do well. im sure its fun if you love shotguns, but i've always been more of a rifle person, and in 1 and 2 if you used lancer you couldn't be very effective. In gears 3 you can be effective with either lancer or shotgun.

@eldestsucubus i think what got on my nerves really was there weren't any casual game types. i get it if you like being "hardcore" but not everyone can be really good at the game. i'm not saying i wanted it to be cod easy, but something that didn't require maximum concentration all the time. execution rules ruined it for me, and it made the lancer kind of useless since if you pick them off from afar you had to move in for the kill, and usually by the time you get there the other team are there.
