Here's Cornell's ending for the N64 game, "Castlevania - Legacy of Darkness". This video was recorded via Project64 and Fraps, so the audio is a bit funky. In hindsight, I should have played through with Mupen64 and bypass the entire need to use a separate video capturing program.

I've clipped the credits from the video as no one was listed that I found terribly interesting plus I wanted to squeak in the epilogue that set up Castlevania 64. Legacy of Darkness is basically a director's cut of Castlevania 64, featuring two brand new quests along with tons of bug fixes and engine tweaks. The first quest is basically a prequel after which you can unlock the original two characters from Castlevania 64 and play through their storylines in the new engine (with some bonuses!). For anyone that was ever put off by Castlevania 64, I recommend giving Legacy of Darkness a look and see if the changes give you a more favorable impression of it.

  • Is this a remake of 64 or a prequel?

I want to know so if I go on Ebay i'll know to get one or 2 games :P

  • It's a remake and a prequel. The first half of the game is the prequel part after which you unlock the first N64 Castlevania game with the enhanced camera and controls of Legacy of Darkness. There's some differences in the level design and presentation (some major, some minor) that I believe are covered at Wikipedia.

  • the n64 castlevania games are definitively the best ones

  • the ending text is referring to Malus from CV64 " a child with blue eyes and blue hair will be born with the soul of the devil" "but 2 youths will fight the devil" referring to Reinhardt and Carrie. This game is set 8 years before CV64.

  • One of the best endings in series!

  • @richardalarcon81 indeed. but they REALLY have to stop reviving Dracula! Dracula, STAY DEAD ALREADY!!! >:(

  • One of the best endings I've ever seen in a videogame!!

  • the best dracula of all times

  • @xMandalorex

The purple-robed guy is Malus in adult form, which is basically Dracula, because Malus is Dracula. They re-used the sprite of the servant for this game as the true Dracula. It wouldn't make sense for him to look like Malus before Malus is born.

  • NO DONT LOSE YOUR WOLF POWER

  • @penguinsmartguy968 i think i like super castlevania 4 better

  • ortega is dark for living in europe, where do you suppose he's from?

  • Need a remake with better graphics and voices.

  • Nice commet, but can you explain to me.... in CV65 the guy in purple robes is dracula

so in this CV game the servant is known as dracula ? but in CV64 hes known as the servant?
