@ralucagymnast 4 is the limit but malv is right. It would actually be very smart to compete this in terms of points, considering that fewer and fewer things connect on HB these days. That's why Zoi Kai keeps winning, he connects 4 times...which is the max bc at least one trick needs to be a release. In terms of consistency, however, probably wouldn't be all that smart but he is quite ballsy. Who know.

@malvernraja Are you sure? I think 4 is the limit now though isnt it?
-
@ralucagymnast thats not true dude you can do 4 releases in one routine so he would be able to do this sequence and he would get a riDONKulous amount of connection bonus because any D to D or up gets like .2 bonus. so that sequence is probably worth something like 2.1 on 3 skills which is phenomenal.

hahaha, yeah man, i was doing this just for fun the other day too. haha, Thats just crazy man, awesome
-
i though they changed the code of points so that conecting D to D or more will only result in a 0.1 bonus?

After the furore over the scoring of High Bar routines in Athens, when Alexei Nemov did 6 releases and yet got a lower mark than Paul Hamm, the powers that be decided that the number of releases had to be lowered, or you would have a situation where gymnasts would compose routines based on multiple releases and no in- bar work, pirouettes, etc. So the days of 4 and 5 and 6 releases are over, as it becomes just like a circus act, and not like true gymnastics.

Wow! Ô lá em casa!
I doubt he would be able to compete that; the change to the Code of Points actually restricts the amount of releases allowed in a routine now, so, as it says in the video info, this is just for fun. Absolutely amazing athleticism and sheer courage though; Epke is a real breath of fresh air in gymnastics. sheer skill coupled with a sense of wild abandon! Gymnastics is meant to surprise, amaze, and delight; Epke does all three, and more!!
