  • The Universities under the direct orders of the NCAA have been riding this gray train since 1984 when total revenue was less than 100 million. Well, it's now 2011 and the total take is what? nearly 3 billion? How many billions does Mark Emmert need to horde for the NCAA before America wakes up and says, "enough is enough." Yes, I think it's time to go visit the supreme court again and see if a capitalist conservative like Chief Justice John Roberts just might see Mark for what he really is.

  • Chris, how much do you get paid at UT? Is that salary somehow diminishing your credibility on campus? How much money do you actually MAKE for UT? How much do you personally generate for the NCAA? Has the NCAA signed a new TV deal for billions to watch you on TV? Then why should you get paid and noone else? Hmmm....

  • All college players should receive a % of what they generate, which is what they deserve. If the NCAA signs a deal for say 771 million for basketball then 15% of that goes right into an escrow account and if a player played one year he gets x= if he played 2 he gets 2x whether he graduates or not, but only recieves the payment after he leaves school. Also, the ncaa needs to be audited by the IRS and the Justice Department and stripped of non-profit status. That's a start.

  • Sorry Chris, but you are either clueless (which I doubt) or have also been lectured by the very wealthy top brass of the NCAA. Here's the facts: US Citizens aged 18 or older are of legal age. They are not kids or "young people." The legal citizens producing billions annually for the NCAA are in fact free-slave labor and it's only a matter of short time before a major law firm wises up and slaps the NCAA and UT and others with a huge anti-trust/ labor lawsuit.
