this is one of the sub plots of the movie, where elwood is stealing cheez whiz from his previous job and giving it to an old, haggard magician who powers up their blues mobile so it can do all those amazing tricks. Seriously though, dan akryod actually wrote a ton of extra shit in the original script, including the real reason the blues mobile can flip and fly (the shed they keep it in pumps electricity into the car, or something along those lines)

Hate to be a buzzkill, but that's actually Easy Cheese that he got. Cheez Whiz is the cheese sauce that comes in the jar (or squeeze bottle).
