They have come over 2500 miles in 7 months only to loose their raise with the weather by one day, fifty miles from their goal.

Eliza Donner, at three years of age, at least had some solace, but she and her two big sisters lost their parents when all of this was over; Frances Donner, the oldest of them, was only six or seven when they were rescued and her grandchildren remembered that she always had candy or some crackers in her pocket.

@goodkarma33 They tried to fish; the cut through very thick ice and saw that the lake was crowded with fish, but their bait was very meager and the fish were not biting and they eventually gave up. William Eddy seems to have been the only one there who could effectively hunt, but even he had a hard time of it.

@YWKMNITLWILMVAT Well you repeatedly say you don't want a political debate, yet you throw out only the vaguest possible unsubstantiated vitriol like referring to me as "you folks" and talking about "hippy commies" which leaves everyone (myself included) in complete doubt as to what you are talking about. You just come off as yet another foaming at the mouth right-wing extremist who doesn't even know what they're talking about. You refuse to be specific when asked.

@DOD Reasoning with you is obviously pointless and I think you know this. You are obviously putting on a show for other viewers. All over the country, the people are sick and tired of the madness your crowd (which Arnie was a part of, whether you see it or not) wrecked upon us. The people of this country are sick of you folks and most who read this will probably be of that crowd. And as someone who took the trouble to look up my Avatar, you should have known by now that I live in CA.
