TUM-BALALAIKA

A lad stood thinking all the night through,
Thinking, thinking, what to do?
Whose heart to take? Whose heart not to break? (2x)

Refrain:
Tum-bala, tum-bala, tum-balalaika, (2x)
Tum-balalaika, shpil balalaika,
Tum-balalaika, happy we'll be.

Maiden, maiden, tell me true,
What can grow, without the dew?
What can burn for years and years?
What can cry and shed no tears?

(refrain)

Silly lad, here's the answer true:
A stone can grow, grow without dew.
Love can burn for years and years.
A heart can cry and shed no tears.

(refrain)

  • repent for your sin.

  • When you listen carefully you can hear German Words.. :D

  • this was played when hitler commited suicide :D

  • something like this at eurovision would be PERFECT.

  • In Extremo's Michael and Rammstein's Till are great, but Anatholy's voice is the greatest! I love it!

  • Sounds like the Israeli In Extremo. Awesome!

  • A Yiddish folk song. A Balalaika is a Russian instrument, like a banjo I think, but with a bowl bottom. "Tum" is like the sound it makes and "shpiel" is "Play". "Frelach Zol Zein" Happiness will be. "Tum! Tum! Play the Balalaika and you'll be happy!" Yes, Gevolt. You make us happy!! LOL My old yiddisha momma loves you, too!

  • the singer voice is amazing

  • Lol this is simular to rammstein

  • Hehe... Finally, a metal band for Yiddish speakers...
