The bridge near loon mountain is raging..lol sorry for my annoying commentary stuff but I was surprised. People nearby are being evacuated and I think I am close because..well the river is across from my house and I hear it right now.

  • This is one of the most scenic areas in the White Mountain National Forest, I go up there often to Camp & Hike, vist! It is painful to see the destruction Hurricane Irene is/has caused this entire area. I enjoy going up there, even if just a day ride/hike & see the natural beauty this forest provides for all that live near & far! The Kanc. has got to be one of the most Beautiful, scenic rides/places to visit for its entire 32 miles! Now it is closed & they have no real idea how long! Shame! :(

  • @ArchamRH I know. ;/ thankfulyl we didn't get too much damage here unlike certain areas that got it super bad.

  • I remember sitting home and hearing about this, and my dad was like in a panic because he wasn't sure if our vacation home in deer park was okay lol.
