@gotgenes in my book it says D-Fdim-Emin-A7, which one is right? the book or the video, the video sounds closer to the actual song but the books version is easier to play :(
The opening measures of "Belleville" are usually played as D-Fdim-Emin7-A7, instead of a standard I-vi-ii-V as you currently have it (substitute the flat iii diminished for the minor vi). This gives a more appealing sound over which to play the chromatically descending melody.

my book says it opens with D C° Em7b5 A7 ... probably all correct ? always the same those jazz standards...
