Joe Cocker turned this into a big flashy wall of sound song-and-dance number. It sounds OK, but this version is how I think it should be played - it's supposed to sound like it's one man, one bottle of whiskey and one woman. He's singing it to the woman, not the stadium, and that makes this a beautiful, intimate song instead of a raspy voice shouting it to the world.

This version is so much more ironic, which is totally lost in the Joe Cocker version! The way Randy sings it is hilarious! Joe is a great singer but he can't pull off the irony intended here!
