I know times are tough.
Just a quick encouragement to
charity. I give at the office.
Luckily I am blessed with a job
and I can contribute. Instead
of leaving it all for government
to fix, or insurance companies,
we ourselves can make a difference.
You're very busy, so donate with
a payroll deduction. You are
religious, so give at church.
You are poor, to give of your
time and voluteer a little.
Or even donate blood or sign
an organ donor card to be a hero
and save lives.
We are blessed, but someday
something unexpected could
happen and then you'll be glad
that you are in a society with
a strong charity ethic. It's
another way to love thy neighbor.

Donating blood (well, plasma--the rarest, but most needed bodily fluid: you cannot have been pregnant to do this) is my #1 good deed...I lack money and a proper job to donate money.
Do not get me started IF I cannot donate blood because of low iron. :(
