Dont let him do it. You may like this President, and the former, but what happens if you get another failure of a drunkard like Yeltsin or worse you're own personal Bush. You'd be stuck with them for at least 6 years. 6! Times that by two to get two terms and you get 12 years. If youve elected a good president thats okay, but if its a bad one...

Nothing but a play by Putin to officially have absolute power again and of course Russians will see nothing wrong with this. Why not just dissolve your constitution?
Medvedev will resign, Putin will run for President and win through intimidation or rounding up rivals, he will be President for 12 more years, the Duma which he controls each will get 5 more years, and the communist party will be restored.
What exactly will Russians get out of this? Ask yourselves that.
