Cliff notes:

Superhero crew runs in to break up fight, cops get called. Girls think they can't get hit back so they assault him, girls get pepper sprayed in self defense. Girls' guys come in thinking they can't get hit back so they assault him, guys get pepper sprayed in self defense. Crowd returns throwing rocks. Heroes take shelter, get kicked out of shelter by a security guard. Cops finally show up. Heroes get apprehended, crowd from fight appears to have fled the scene.

Except none of the IRL superheroes out there, including Phoenix Jones, are deluded enough to think that what they do isn't dangerous; they openly admit that it is and say that they take the risk to make their cities a better place.

If you really respected what they are doing, you wouldn't be patronizing and undermining IRL superheroes' actions by promoting the mentality that necessitated their presence in the first place. Grow a pair.

they are hard at work trying to convince people in government to expand the police force, young people to stop joining gangs and join the police force, trying to convince people to stop drinking too much or using drugs te prevent these types of incidents in the first place, etc, etc to be able to get faster to emergencies when they happen....;)

That's why a dose of reality could keep them from becoming another "statistic". Even cops die regularly trying to help people.
