I think Missy really loved Aaliyah and when you lose someone you really love, you just try to fill that emptiness inside, and I think Missy's trying to by hanging with Ciara, but Aaliyah can never be replaced and Missy knows that.

@1990babyface That's what I was told for the past decade that she was meant to host it. I'm still "ehh" about it because usually they hire COMEDIANS to host the VMA's. That's always have that stand-up segment before the show. So I dunno if it was a TRUE FACT, but Aaliyah's fan base was convinced that she was supposed to host it.
