Mortuary science student -
Britta Murphy always felt she had a special knack for helping and comforting people in need. For her, the real question was always how to best put those skills to work.
An engaging visit to her high school by mortuary science director Michael Lubrant and a tour of the University's facilities helped cement her decision to enter the field. After sitting through a mortuary science class and talking about the program with current students, Britta felt like her decision was an easy one to make.
After two years of college in Wisconsin, Murphy transferred to the University of Minnesota and is enjoying her first year as an official mortuary science student. She's chosen one of the only programs nationwide that offers a bachelor of science with a mortuary science major.
