Ancient Aliens *supposedly* gave us the original scripts that are also used on these stones. My opinion is that these stones are to be used as the "New Ten Commandments," if they survive, when the world's population is decimated by some type of calamity.
Wikipedia suggests that Ted Turner, owner of Turner Broadcasting Network and CNN is the one behind these stones.
