You think he dresses her down because she didn't stand when he entered the room? No, he was showing her the lunacy of using a 1800 year old book of fairy tales as a guide in the modern world. He's showing her that smugly cherry picking bible verses to further a personal agenda is a dangerous thing to do,especially when there are those with a different agenda and equal knowledge of the bible ready to use that book against them. The part about the standing is just icing on the cake.

Someday a president will be able to take that type of stand against the ignorant delusional people of Christian faith, but not until the people of the US stop being so ignorant and anti-intellectual in their election process. I want and intelligent honest president, but that won't happen because an intelligent nominee can't be honest that he/she doesn't believe in God, because that would ruin their chances of election. SO because of Christianity we elect lying politicians or really dumb ones.W

If you believe the bible is inspired by man rather than by God then there is little point in me pointing out where it says in the Old and the New Testament where it says homosexuality is wrong.
