@Seedofwinter Exactly right. I think it was brilliant that Gates would not allow the discussion to be deteriorated towards a "get if of the brother and we can all go home - mission accomplished" shallow nonsense.

He does have a tough job, and I think he is doing really good. He has to be careful on how he treads and talks in public about the situation in Afghanistan, and it is just ridiculous for this guy to ask him about that in an open session, to gain some political capital.
