Parliament has today ordered for a forensic investigation into power company UMEME, to ascertain the extent of energy losses, their level of investment, income tax reports and their metering systems. A report by the natural resources committee recommended the investigation sighting inefficiencies on the side of the power company. With consumption outstripping production, scheduled load shedding in Uganda is now a daily occurrence, but the country still has the highest electricity tariffs in the region.
Uganda should search some where else for a new electric company. This company is there to steal people's money. Ugandan's are in total darkness they don't know what they are paying for. Umeme, park up your luggage's and vacate Uganda. Too many bad practices by this company. Loosen up, Ugandan's have had enough.
