I love how the camera follows and inwards fibonacci spiral. Was that done purposely, I wonder.

@Fuglheim I'm not quite sure if it's fibonacci, I used a simple exponential equation, I believe (I'm no mathematician!), which gives me that nice slowing-down-but-never-quite-getting-there look, which remains smooth across all the different orders of magnitude. Otherwise, 99% of this video would have been in distant space, with everything else appearing only as a blur in the last frame!

what program did you use to do this? It looks like 3DS Max or that other one. I forget. And what was the render time? for that much stuff in one place, must have taken 4eva. Unless you cut it at certain points which I think I saw you do.

@HDmonkey It did take a long time to render, I have only the one quad-core system. However I did start splitting things up as the video progresses to save time. The fly took the longest to render, my system did not like rendering hairs, and the right eyeball ended up consisting of 2.5 million polys, about all my computer could handle.

@HDmonkey Oh, and it was all rendered in Lightwave 9. The program can handle some impressively diverse scenes, you have to commend it. The galaxy, solar system, earth, city, building and the little man all existed in the one scene file.

Héhé there's apparently a lil spaceship flying at 0:31. Try to catch it, it's damn hard ^^ !
