It's Going To Be Okay - Episode 14 Part 1

*In Demis room, David, Miley, Selena, and Nick were sitting on the couch while Demi was sleeping (Kevin was downstairs with Joe)*
Miley: Guys I really think its about time we tell her.
David: Shes right. Its been three days since she has heard from Joe. I can only imagine it makes her blame herself that much more for everything that has happened.
Nick: Telling her would make her understand why hes not around.
Selena: Maybe, yes. But it would also make her feel like she made this happen, because he left here after what she said, and thats when it happened. So I really dont think that telling her right now is a good idea. The timing just isnt right.
Miley: Shes right.
David: I guess. But will the timing ever really be right?
Nick: I dont think so. Not until he wakes up (Looks down) If he wakes up.
Selena: He is going to wake up Nick. Joe is going to be okay. I promise.
Nick: (Looks at Selena, hopeless) I appreciate what youre trying to do, Sel, but you cant promise something like that, youre not God. (Gets up and leaves)
David: Wow, this is really hitting him hard. How are you holding up, Sel?
Selena: Im fine.
Miley: Its us, Selena, you can tell us how youre really feeling, you know.
Selena: (Starts to get tears in her eyes) How do I really feel? I feel mad. Mad that Cody ruined my best friends life. Mad that he raped her. Mad that he got her pregnant, then killed her baby. Mad that because of what he almost did to me, making love to my boyfriend for the first time was like that night that Cody almost stole my virginity, the one thing I knew I could give to Nick and he would take care of. Mad because every time I see Nick I think of Cody and everything he has done, even though they are nothing alike. Mad because I love him so much, and I cant help but feel disgust around him. Mad because he has to go through something as horrible as having his brother in a coma, on the verge of dying. Mad because I cant find it in me to be there for him even though I know he needs me. I feel mad (Starts to cry)
Miley: (Hugs her) Selena, Im sorry.
Demi: (Opens her eyes) Joes in a coma?

*They all look at her*
Demi: Is that what you said, Sel? What happened?
Selena: (Looks down)
Demi: Why wont you answer me?!
Selena: (Gets up and walks over next to Demi, and takes her hand) Yes, Demi, Joe is in a coma. After you last spoke to him, he left the hospital upset. Nick tried to go after him, but didnt succeed. He was in a car crash, and the trauma to his head has left him in a coma.
Demi: (Shakes her head, and pulls her hand away) This is all my fault.
Miley: (Gets up and stands next to Selena) No, Demi, its not your fault. Its no ones fault but Codys, okay. (She looks at Selena) And mine. If I had never cheated on him, he would never have felt the need to get back at Joe. (Looks back at Demi) So I am sorry. For everything. Cody has turned into a monster. I dont even recognize him any more, and its because of me.
David: Youre right Mi.
Miley: (Looks at him, despairingly)
David: (Gets up and stands on the other side of Demis bed, across from Selena and Miley. He looks at Demi) This is no ones fault but Codys.
Selena: He wont get away with it, Dem, I promise you that. I am tired of him hurting us. Its time for him to pay for everything he did (Walks out of the room)
David: Where is she going?
Demi: Where is Joe? Is he here? I need to go see him. Youll take me, right?
Miley: (Puts her fingers through Demis hair) Yeah, Dem, hes here. And well take you.

*David and Miley help Demi into a wheelchair. The three of them go to find Joes room. When they get there, Nick and Kevin were sitting outside of his room*
Nick: (Surprised) Demi?
Demi: Is he in there? I need to see him.
Kevin: The nurses are checking on him. Wait a minute, who told you?
Demi: I heard Dave, Mi and Sel talking in my room. I know hes in a coma and its because of me. I need to apologize to him. I need to tell him that I didnt mean what I said and that I need him.
Nick: (Half listening, he notices Selenas not there) Wheres Selena?
David: She took off. Saying Cody needed to pay for everything he did.
Miley: Im worried at what she might do. Her dad does own a gun, remember?
Demi: She would never oh my gosh.
Nick: What is it Dem?
Demi: Cody was released yesterday. Selena told me that shes dreamed of the day that shed have her way with him in the park, when shed finally have him regret all hes done. Nick, I think shes going to try to kill him. You have to stop her.
David: Why should he, that dude doesnt deserve to breathe our air anymore.
Nick: Because doing something like that will haunt her forever. She will never get past any of this if she kills him. She will have his blood on her hands for the rest of her life. And she will probably end up being tried as an adult. I need to stop her (Gets up and leaves)
