You have a good voice. Kind of reminds me of Billy Joel. Nicely done.
-
wow good job :)

i think this is amazing. you have such a beautiful voice! i wish i could get a guy to sing for me like that. talk about romantic! :) have you been playing long?

Obviously he made it fast on purpose. A cover is supposed to be different than the original song, otherwise there is not point in making a cover...
Great Job, I like it!

Try slowing the vocals down a little bit. When Jakob Dylan does it you can tell he's mellow and in the moment. Nice touch with the piano though. Great work. Definitely favorited.

Thanks, followme. I sped it up and made it more urgent on purpose. I obviously loved the original version, but with lyrics like:
Hey, come on try a little
Nothing is forever
There's got to be something better than
In the middle

This place is always such a mess
Sometimes I think I'd like to watch it burn
I'm so alone, and I feel just like somebody else
Man, I ain't changed, but I know I ain't the same
But somewhere here in between the city walls of dyin' dreams
I think her death it must be killin' me

The song NEEDS to be more urgent. I feel it's about a guy looking back at his life and this girl he's lost and how he's been stuck in this place he hates. I always saw this song as the first real impetus of forward motion, his first declaration of "I NEED to get out of here and move on." So that's why I sped it up.
The original song has a nice mellow groove to it, but I think that goes against the nature of the lyric. It could have been the producer that did it, to make it more "poppy."

The same thing happened to Matchbox 20's 3AM. The lyric is broken and sad, but the album version is very upbeat and poppy. But if you dig around for Rob Thomas' acoustic version of the song, it's slow & heartbreaking and beautiful. Sometimes the recording industry gets in the way of art to make sure they sell more songs. =/
But I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for listening. I have a few new videos to upload but things have been kind of hectic so it'll probably be a few more weeks.
