Actually, Calvin College itself did not provide any support (financial or otherwise) for the conference. Calvin was simply the venue with whom we contracted. The event was hosted by Local Future (you can google that to see the web site).
It certainly was a good venue though, and the good service did a great job with the lunches. The FAC building is also a very good choice for conferences, and the entire staff did a fantastic job helping with the conference, so kudos for that.

By the way, do you have a copy of the slides used here? Or do you know where to get them? It's too hard to read the charts and points on the screen because the video blurs them. Thanks!

Sure, I just sent you a YouTube message with the URL.
I'm now posting the other vids as 640x480, even though it is widescreen, because the YouTube machine will create a 640x480 version called "hi def" that way, and the slides are easier to read. :-)
Oh the joys of learning new tools!

Seriously, peak oil is scary stuff, but I'm glad at least some people are not giving up and expecting a total "die-off" but instead, looking for solutions.

Actually, most groups looking into peak oil are working on solutions. ASPO, Community Solution, Local Future, Transition Towns, and the Post Carbon Institute are all very focused on the solution side of peak oil.

I'm sorry to have implied this... but sometimes I just get too caught up in the negativism. Also sometimes the negative voices are the loudest... I certainly look for solutions. Keep up the good work!
