Greensky Bluegrass Freeborn Man Jam Clip at Hoxeyville 2009

Now this is psychedelic bluegrass at a michigan festival. Both banjo and mandolin are featured in this tail of a tale called Freeborn Man, a Greensky Bluegrass standard. [technotom likes to refer to Hoffman's style as "speedmetal mandolin"] Generally, the campgrounds sound like this at a michigan festival off the stage, too, just not plugged in. Great work by the Hoxeyville crew on staging and presentation...these northern michigan 'big bucks' paid off in sound and sight. Fantastic showcase for any performer. This is why Camp Greensky is belle of the ball at festivals like Telluride, Northwest String Summit, go on? thought naught.
