This is a vigil that all of the ROTC branches at penn state put on every year on POW/MIA day. Parts of the ceremony include the symbolic table, raising of the flags, playing of taps, and 4 gun salute by the local VFW. The ceremony kicks off the 24 hour vigil which is somebody standing guard much like the tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington. Each guard is an hour and is traded off between branches. I participated in the ceremony by singing with our choral group, the Wild Blue yonders which sang Amazing Grace and the Star Spangled Banner.
