Jam Enslaver Reviews...Golden Axe

Golden Axe comes under scrutiny this time round, but how does it compare to a similar game I reviewed two weeks ago?

Hey jam just a question why did you review SOR an golden axe when they can be bought cheaper on the 360.

Because I bought them ages ago before I had my 360 connected to Xbox Live.

Hmm, I guess you haven't played the Arcade version which is much better. It's Sega's fault for downgrading the graphics and animations of Golden Axe when they ported it onto the Mega Drive simply because the Mega Drive wasn't powerful enough to use what the Arcade version had to offer. =p

Everything you say is true.....but I still like this game better then both Streets of Rage 2 and Golden Axe 2. (But not Streets of Rage 1 which beats them all)

I must say I agree, BUT at the time when this game was coming out it was very good. it just didn't age well.

yeh i can agree this game was crap when it came out, was just walking around hammering attack until they flickered into death

You have a special move in golden axe as well. I can't remember how it's done, but I know they have it. Like the dwarf can roll around on the ground... like a child... with brain damamge. Like I said... "special" move. Anyway, golden axe rocked! One of just two games I completed on the mega drive (I was seven).
