  • The perfect transition from Joy Division to New Order for sure. Proper dark. Looking out your window, a grey rainy day, on your own. Thats when these things are best

  • Hooky's voice is HAUNTING...i can almost hear Ian's voice in the background...

  • I used to listen to this in the local graveyard when a stroppy, angst ridden teenager. Always sounded better in the snow for some reason. Have since lightened up.

  • My favorite song of the album.

  • pure magic

  • We were so lucky. When records were records. Every song on this album is a masterpiece and I wouldn't part with my vintage vinyl for anything.

  • Amazing album. What a terrible time it must have been after Ian died...

  • This Hookey on vocals?

  • A masterpiece and probably my favourite song on the album. It also contains some of my favourite lyrics (particularly those recited by Gillian) though the production means quoting them accurately is difficult. Like others have said, songs like Doubts Even Here, The Him, The Eternal and Decades are best listened to whilst gazing out of the window at a dark winter's sky while the rooftops are pounded with heavy rain.

  • always..JD/NO + Public Enemy still influencing, it's funny
