Kenya's dominance in the steeplechase continued today with a clean sweep by Brimin Kipruto, Ezekiel Kemboi, and Richard Mateelong, winning with times of 8:13.82, 8:16.94, and 8:17.59, respectively. Kenya has won the steeplechase event at seven out of eleven World Championships. The last clean sweep by Kenya happened in 1997. (WCSN, WCSN.com)

  • Whites are good at swimming -

    Blacks are good at Running.

  • Pretty to watch.Kenya have won the steeple at EVERY Olympics they have competed in since 1968.That's 40 years of total and utter dominance. Not to mention other podium finishes. They ALWAYS run as a team. The depth they have is astounding.I love it when they get together after the race and share in the victory lap and flag waving.Pure joy.

    what's so important abt whites?

  • @RenewableFuel There no tigers in kenya, or generally in Africa, so think before you make idiotic comments

  • @erc814 blacks can swim...we just don't take it seriously...blacks are athletic...whatever they decide to do if they put their heart, they can best it

  • Ha ha ha ha @viperr000007,

Thanks for awarding this guy an honorary Kenyan citizenship. That was funny.

    Ahsante sana Ndugu.

@hardcorechrisFSU, I second that. We award you honorary Kenyan citizenship.

    Wow!

Brimin Kiprop Kipruto huddled the steeple! Then, he ran away from Ezekiel Kemboi.

    Nani kama sisi?

    WE ARE THE FINEST!

  • @RyanBos10 I *used* to do steeplechase, several decades ago. You know, back when lots of high school and college tracks were still cinder. Back when Nike shoe were still manufactured with kitchen waffle makers. Back when running shorts were still made of rough cotten. And back then, we had to face a head wind on BOTH back stretch and home stretch. Oh, the good ole days...

  • i do steeplechase too.. i believe its the most tiring thing in track & field

  • @viperr000007 yeah in addition to that, these guys are athletes, so during the seasons they go through those intense workouts, might even be just as hard as olympic level workouts(not really sure though). and also kenyans have more slow twitch muscle than fast twitch which assists and helps them excel in distance running, and don't alot of kenyans run barefoot? that helps develope that forefoot running technique that is supposed to be "better" than heelstrike (: ....gotta love kenyans
