ThisComesAround - what point are you making? Rachmaninov had nothing to do with the Soviet Union, and Mitropoulos was born in Greece.

Perhaps Rachmaninoff and Böcklin were trying to remind us that reality is a unveiled dream and dream is a veiled reality.
