I have driven past Davis-Monthan on several different occasions. It is a depressing sight, especially after seeing those C-5s' parked on the south-end.
It is a brutal shame of what happened to the thousands of WWII aircraft that suffered the fate of pre-fabricated housing and cooking pans after the war.
@pensoken Some of the planes are stored in a condition where they can be reactivated and flown in several days if needed.
