Sorry that I am kinda 'blah' here...I just got up. Decided to do the video before I even ate breakfast or had any coffee. No energy yet!
After building several drop style wood luges(one shown here) I decided to try the wakeboard idea. Worked out very well. I actually wish I would have tried this a long time ago when the idea first crossed my mind...as it is very simple and the results are worth the effort.

Check on craigslist for wakeboard. you need one that is about 58" by 15 or 16 in. wide. Wheels, trucks(surfrodz axle extensions a very good idea), pad, headrest, legrest and some build skills and you will have a clean/fast/fun ride for not much $$. Then show us what YOU made!
Caution:
the wakeboard luge is a very fun project and you will probably want to build two just like I did! Maybe even....THREE?????? Place them all around the house so you will never be that far from a street luge!
