  • well yes, being in the weight room helps tremendously with track and field, i am a sprinter and i can easily attest to that. i went from running 53's indoor as my best time to my second meet in december running a 50.8, so never underestimate what being in the weight room can do for you, and yes by the way AG is my strength and conditioning coach

  • Yes Ashland does throw the weight and far. Why you ask??? Because indoor season makes up 65% of the ncaa season and 99% of the kids at Ashland will only ever throw in college.

  • BOOSHAW!!! C.C.C.P.

  • You guys are idiots! You know nothing of the weight room or throwing!!

  • You all are idiots! you know nothing of lifting in the weight room and what it can do.

  • haha i no this guy he tought a camp i went to and ive been in that weight room

  • I would be willing to go out on a limb and say AG will probably never throw 80m. Maybe he proves me wrong. Kibwe will probably do it when he accidentally extends his right arm. I just do not think AG "i AM the weight throw" Kruger will go 80m.

  • Yes because we all know exactly what other elite hammer throws can lift... for one thing they are VERY explosive in the olympic lifts. Yet usually not as strong in bench and squat compared to shot putter or discus thrower. He is still young and vary well could go over 80m with better form.

  • I guess it does make the weight go far but who throws the weight ? Ashland?? Good for them.

  • That's true, I know that now. There's an article written by Bondarchuk that outlines the insignificance of maximal strength and the importance of "special" strength. He also roasts American throwers for making that mistake.

But yeah... I do believe Kruger has thrown 79 meters before, but not recently.
