I'm tired of people thinking there's subi motors in bugs, no vw is the original boxxer style motor. so in reality a subi sounds like a vw
-
shows how much you know about engines think of what a boxer does punches out hence the name boxer engine i have neaver heard of an engine where pictons come togeather

how much did the actual transaxle and limited slip diff actually cost you?
and did you have to buy the diff, then install it into the transaxle yourself? thanx

racho pro-street transmission 1200 euro
and Quaiffe ATB LSD was 1360 euro
I had to replace the heavy duty differential that came with the rancho transaxle with the LSD one.

i have a 73 beetle and i cant get wide tyres on my car cause they will scrape on the arches:( can only get 135/R15. do you know what i would have to do to get wider tyres? i have seen other beetles with wider tyres than mine and they have not had to widen the arches? what should i do?

you have to shorten the front axle at lease 2,3 inches. in case you are installing and disc brakes then you have to shorten it even more. there are ready made if you cant do it yourself.
